At the end of the day, I love AC3. I know that I’m not the average player, having studied the Marquis de Lafayette at a college level, but I love sinking hours into Ubisoft’s version of colonial America, where the oft-overlooked make the most important choices of all. Also, I can attack as many Redcoats as I want, with the only consequence being a city-wide manhunt. With this fresh coat of paint, Assassin’s Creed III has never been more fun—providing you enjoyed it in the first place.

Assassin's Creed III Remastered is better and most complete than the original, although the improvements don’t really enhance the experience all that much.

Assassin's Creed III Remastered is a worthwhile trip back in time, and the smattering of upgrades make for a much better experience for longtime fans and series newcomers.

Assassin's Creed 3 Remastered, without correcting the major structural problems of the original, is still a recommended title as a complete edition of a way of making games that Ubisoft no longer implements.

Assassin's Creed III Remastered version is just a nice try. It's a nice try to bring glory to a mediocre game, which hasn't been good enough upon its release and surely isn't good enough now. The UI changes definitely improve the gameplay, and the graphics are truly amazing - but still aren't close to other games from this era. If you haven't played it before, you might want to check it off your list since it does have a unique story. If you have, I recommend not wasting your time unless you're feeling really, really nostalgic and have nothing better to do.

In short, nothing collected here is as good as the best this series has to offer. But, Assassin’s Creed III Remastered is a welcome glimpse into an era that would define much in the years to come.

Even a high-quality remaster such as this can’t hide the fact that Assassin’s Creed III is too much a product of its time and has little to offer modern gaming.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Great Game, It still deserves the original games 8.5/10 Rating it got as a game.
Has new minor bugs due to new engine and new lighting BUT that doesnt mean it is a 4/10 anyone who is stupid to review bomb this is just trying to be bias on how the actual gameplay is.

it includes the new features from later games and fixes minor old bugs but still has some bugs.
Thats being said it is an amazing game and a classic at this point.

Hope they do the same and remaster BrotherHood Next!

For 40€ players get a fair package with AC III including all its DLCs and pre-order/deluxe bonuses, as well as the full AC:Liberation HD. InFor 40€ players get a fair package with AC III including all its DLCs and pre-order/deluxe bonuses, as well as the full AC:Liberation HD. In addition to that, we finally get more than just a resolution upgrade (as was the case with for example AC:Rogue) in the form of significantly better lighting, reflections and draw distance. Even gameplay was overhauled in very minor, but useful ways, most importantly the horrendous weapon select from the old base game was overhauled and there is a bunch of other stuff as well.
Now, this is a Remaster very true to the original and if you didn't like that one, ACIII Remastered won't change that. However, if you liked the game as much as I did, it is a great package to get the game on current consoles with overhauls that were needed to make it as playable nowadays as it was back then.
On the other hand, it is still somewhat buggy in a few areas and the mostly stellar new lighting makes visible some more ugly parts from the old game that were more hidden back then (most notably the faces in some cutscenes).

AC III marked a turning point for the AC franchise in 2012. For better or worse. Looking back, I now see it as a successful blend of some of the older virtues the Assassin's Creed games had and that are now lost in the newer titles, and some of the improvements that have been made since them.

Not a Ubisoft apologist at all, even if they've been making the right moves lately. I played the remaster on a PS4 Pro properly configured onNot a Ubisoft apologist at all, even if they've been making the right moves lately. I played the remaster on a PS4 Pro properly configured on a huge 4K TV. And it looks like a 2012 game with the settings on ultra on a huge screen. Improvements here and there, and of course since they changed their old "Arkham" control scheme 4 years ago, it gets some getting used to, but it's what you expect from a remaster. Otherwise it'd be a remake. I must say I'm halfway through the campaign, and it holds up alright, so I'm giving it the same score I gave the original, because beside all that, it's the weakest AC game, and the protagonist is bland as hell, but I went in knowing that. I think people are used to remasters from pretty new games, and are judging it based on unfair standards. And most of the 0's are just review bombing, as it's the new trend here. Expand

Sehr traurig.

This game is broken. It was ambitious project at the time but it seems dev teams didn't have time to polish it.
