Under the threat of nuclear annihilation, you’ll experience the largest, most dynamic world ever created in the legendary Fallout universe. Reclamation Day, 2102. 25 years after the bombs fall, you and your fellow Vault Dwellers – chosen from the nation’s best and brightest – emerge into post-nuclear America. Play alone or band together as you explore, quest, build and triumph against the wasteland’s greatest threats. Multiplayer finally comes to the epic open-world RPGs of Bethesda Game Studios. Create your character with the S.P.E.C.I.A.L. system and forge your own path in a new and untamed wasteland with hundreds of locations. Whether you journey alone or with friends, a new and unique Fallout adventure awaits. Use the all-new Construction and Assembly Mobile Platform (C.A.M.P.) to build and craft anywhere in the world. Your C.A.M.P. will provide much-needed shelter, supplies and safety. You can even set up shop to trade goods with other survivors. But beware, not everyone will be quite so neighborly. [Bethesda]

Despite some very annoying bugs that absolutely need to be addressed, the game is both a wonderful online experience and an underrated solo adventure if you enjoy the exploration aspect of games such as No Man’s Sky.

Though it suffers from graphical issues and bugs, as well as unsatisfying combat, Fallout 76 is fun nonetheless, and the experience is only enhanced by cooperating with other players.

Underneath the extremely rough and laggy exterior, Fallout 76 has the makings of a great and entertaining game. To some, the damage may have already been done and the appeal may have already worn off, but with Bethesda’s level of support, the game has potential to grow into something much more than it currently is.

Forcibly pushing players together in order to tackle the later main quests isn’t the experience fans wanted, nor is a PvP system that requires consent before it really kicks off, regardless of where you are.

Fun to play with friends, not so much on your own. There's potential here, though a huge load of bugs manages to annoy and frustrate the player, leaving him or her with the impression that this full-priced game is far from a finished product. Shame.

Fallout 76 could have been appealing. With its massive open-world, rewarding exploration and some interesting quests, it fails to be a good game because of too many game-design mistakes and technical issues.

The most positive thing I can say about Fallout 76 is that a train wreck of this magnitude might finally yank Bethesda – a company that gets away with too much – back to reality. Maybe it’s finally time to update that engine. Maybe it’s not a good idea to slap the Fallout name onto a game that isn’t fit for release and expect it to go over well.

The world is rich and huge, challenging enemies, smart AI, and a sense of realistic survivability. The perk card system is a great twist on the previous perk system. The gun modification system has been greatly improved and is more rewarding. The CAMP feature is fun, creative, and relaxing. The story and quests are actually clever thought out and more indepth than what one would think at first look. And the community is friendly, helpfull, and overall what a good community should be like. Theres room for imporvements of course, but all games have that. If it isn't it right now, the game surely will be a huge success after a few updates. Defeiently a hit. Expand

This is Fallout 4's end game with a buddy and more to do (note I said END GAME).
If you finished fallout 4 and stopped paying then this may not be the game for you.
If, like me, you played many more hours building settlements and exploring for those little odd details and stories then you will love it.
Add in the detail that I can play with my friends and it is like a nice Rust game, without quite so many trolls.
To be honest I I am probably more excited about what they do next rather than what we have now, as in these early days it is hard to tell. Having played the game for over 20 hours so far I am having lots of fun. FUN, remember that word?

It's not perfect, but it certainly isn't deserving of a 0. I had a lot of fun with some friends and genuinely enjoyed myself. I also lost track of time, which is a telltale sign that I'm having fun. There are some frame rate dips and bugs, sure, and I am genuinely concerned about content moving forward. If Bethesda properly support this game with great content and bug fixes, I'm sure my rating will go up. If not, well, I'll have some fun and move on. Expand

The in game engine is extremely old and outdated, it has not aged well. The lack of NPC's and story force you to now focus on clumsy mechanics, glitches, bugs, poor textures, and generally speaking - some ugly ass graphics.

Do yourself a favor and wait until they've supported in some way, also, buy it used. A 10$ price point feels about right. Would not recommend.

Missions pop up randomly without giving you a sense of a true story. NPCs have been replaced with players that completely ruin the post atomic war atmosphere as they either run around like crazy, try to kill you just stand still, probably playing Solitaire on their smartphone.

I remember I had to restrict my playing time in earlier Fallout games in order to maintain a basic social life. After 6 hours of FO 76I really consider wiping this game and buying something fun instead.
