Mutant Year Zero’s robust gameplay elements blend together magnificently well, collectively sitting on a story backdrop that’s intriguingly desperate, yet oddly comedic at just the right times. The game’s openness encourages experimentation and daring, with no shortage of lore and rewards dished out to keep its pace at a steady flow. The end result makes for one of the best tactical adventures of the gen.

A unique, good-looking, intense experience that's more than worthy of existing in the same genre as an illustrious classic like XCOM.

For fans of XCOM and turn-based gaming in general then Mutant Year Zero: Road to Edenis definitely worth a look, especially if you are an Xbox Game Pass owner. The combat is satisfying and even though it isn’t you pulling the trigger directly, you can feel the impact each one makes.

A beautifully fettled, deeply tactical XCOM-alike that has a shot at cult-classic status.

Smart tweaks to an aging formula, fun characters and an excellent new stealth element more than make up for a disappointing by-the-numbers premise. A true sleeper hit.

Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden is a clever take on the turn-based RPG, blending it with freeform exploration in a way that feels natural and satisfying. It’s unfortunate that the rest of the game can’t match the well-realized concept, giving off the sense of a great execution that wasn’t fully baked. For the genre, it’s a surprisingly bite-size experience that, while may not be the most friendly to newcomers, fans should definitely check out.

Yeah, it's a bit short and some of the fights feel unbalanced but in the end it's very positive experience. Visuals are nice, soundtrack is okay and the gameplay is smooth & rewarding. Oh, and also the developers have fixed a lot of issues that were bothering player in original XCOM games which is also very nice, because these are conceptual changes. Expand

Very good game with potential for being great, if would have bigger budget. Tactical part is very good, also RPG elements, graphics even greatVery good game with potential for being great, if would have bigger budget. Tactical part is very good, also RPG elements, graphics even great for a tactical game (especially on OneX with 4K screen). Characters are interesting on the begining but later they don't have much to say.
Every level is a puzzle, how to kill as much enemies as you can in stealth mode before main battle begin. It is also a good way to level up your team, upgrade your equimpment and prepare for every bigger challenge. Game is hard on the start, but later you gain control on everything, especially you can take the EXP for lonley maruders and grab scrap for upgrades also on the maps were enemies are still to strong. You can always come back later and better prepared.
I hope there will be a sequel with bigger budget, where story will be better presented (with some cutscenes for example) and there will be some interactions between those interesting characters. Then it can be a 10/10 game :)

Your chance to hit is 1-2-3-4 (25% 50% 75% 100%) / Enemy chance is 100% all the time. Nice garbage
